Image can be manipulated. This manipulation may be voluntary or involuntary, and it has become a problem when identifying images in big data sets. Therefore, a technique called similarity search based on perceptual hashing is used. University of León (ULE), within the framework of the ASASEC European project, is working to provide a perceptual hashing solution that outperforms current techniques.
